The local TV station had a news bit on the refueling outage at the plant were I work. (Click on the blog title.) As a reactor engineer, I didn't have anything to do with the turbine replacement work, but I did help with the refueling - 1/3 of our reactor core was taken out and replaced with new fuel bundles. After almost a month and 2100 extra employees, we're just about to start making electricity again.
